Why won’t a deal move, or a sales pipeline save?

On the Posli (Deals) board you dragged a card into another column and it snapped back. Or you tried to edit a deal, delete a sales pipeline, or add a stage, and the app refused. Every one of these messages guards against two users, or two browser tabs, undercutting each other’s data, or against deleting something that is still in use.

What the screen says

Moving a card on the deals board

A move shows immediately (the card jumps to the new column), so there is no waiting message on failure. The card simply returns to its previous column, with a red toast beside it naming the deal, the target stage, and the reason. The reason is one of the following:

Editing or deleting a deal

The same permission message appears if you open someone else’s deal and click Uredi (Edit) or Izbriši posel (Delete deal):

If, while editing a deal, you assign the Skrbnik (Owner) field to someone who is no longer part of the organization by the time you save, this appears instead:

Izbrani skrbnik ni član te organizacije. Izberite nekoga, ki ima dostop do nje. (“The selected owner is not a member of this organization. Pick someone who has access to it.”)

Customizing a sales pipeline (settings)

You reach these messages through the gear icon Prilagodi prodajni lijak (Customize pipeline) at the top right of the deals board, which takes you to the pipeline settings:

Privzetega prodajnega lijaka ni mogoče izbrisati. Najprej kot privzetega določite drug lijak. (“The default sales pipeline can’t be deleted. Make another pipeline the default first.”)

The last three appear when two tabs, or two people, are editing the same pipeline at the same time:

Položaj faze mora biti celo število znotraj obstoječih faz tega prodajnega lijaka. Osvežite stran in poskusite znova. (“A stage position must be a whole number within this pipeline’s existing stages. Refresh the page and try again.”)

Why this happens

The board card no longer exists, or moved elsewhere

While the board was open in your browser, someone else (or you, in another tab) already deleted, renamed, or moved the deal, the target stage, or the whole pipeline. The board has no way to know until you actually try to move the card, so the move is refused only at that point, and the card returns to its last known place.

You don’t have permission for this deal

This only happens when your organization has sales-team visibility scoping turned on. The Skrbnik (Owner) field only appears on the deal form at all when this scoping is turned on.

The selected owner is no longer a member

The Skrbnik picker only lists current members of the organization, so this message is rare. It happens when the person you picked was removed from the organization while the form was still open, before you saved it.

A pipeline or stage can’t be deleted

VegaERP won’t let a deletion sever the trail to deals still in progress, or leave the organization with no default pipeline (new deals need somewhere to land). A pipeline is capped at 12 stages so the board stays readable.

What to do

The card move failed because of stale data

1. Read the reason in the red toast.
2. Refresh the page (F5 or your browser’s reload button). The board reloads the current state of deals, stages, and pipelines.
3. If the deal still exists, drag the card into the column you want again.

Customizing the sales pipeline

1. Can’t delete the default pipeline: open another pipeline, click Uredi lijak (Edit pipeline), and inside it choose Nastavi kot privzetega (Set as default), then go back and delete the original one.
2. Pipeline or stage still has deals: on the deals board, drag the remaining cards into another pipeline or stage (or open them and change the Faza (Stage) field by hand), then retry the deletion.
3. You’ve hit 12 stages: merge two stages into one, or delete a stage you don’t use, before adding a new one.
4. The message asks you to refresh the page: someone else was editing the same pipeline at the same time. Refresh to load the current stages and retry the change.

If you can’t fix this yourself

The message “Za spreminjanje tega posla nimate dovoljenja” (“You don’t have permission to change this deal”) is not something you can fix on your own. It is a deliberate sales-team visibility decision made by the organization’s administrator. If you genuinely need to move, edit, or delete the deal, ask:

• the deal’s owner to do it themselves,
• the leader of the sales team the owner belongs to,
• or an organization administrator to add you as that team’s leader, change the deal’s owner, or turn off visibility scoping for the whole organization.

If the assigned owner has left the organization, an administrator can invite them back, or you can pick someone currently listed in the Skrbnik field.
